The trip begins at Lake Léon. We board the traditional galupes (small flat-bottomed boats) and glide silently across the peaceful waters.  of the Huchet current with the help of our boatman. In sunny weather, this trip is a special moment where a magnificent picture unfolds before our eyes for about 2 hours. The sun reflects on the water as does the omnipresent forest which shelters us from the heat. We are surrounded by an exceptional natural wealth: the forest which is composed of pines, willows, bald cypresses and cork oaks and the fauna which brings together numerous fish, birds and even otters.

Throughout the walk, we feel the magic of this grandiose place as much as its fragility, a few steps from a tourist world where vacationers flock.
It is for this reason, in particular, that this exceptional site in the heart of the Landes has been part of a national nature reserve since 1981. The aim of this reserve is to preserve this unique site, to limit the impact of man and tourist numbers.
